Professional Background:
Sue received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2003) and has worked in a variety of roles supporting young adults, from her time at Perkins School for the Blind to her work as a College Counselor. She has extensive experience providing individual therapy and is passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive space for her clients.
Sue is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and is committed to providing therapy to members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
Therapeutic Approach:
Sue primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and life stressors. She also incorporates animal-assisted therapy into her practice. She is joined in some in-person sessions by Chips, her NEADS-certified Therapy Dog, offering an additional source of comfort and support.
